Climate change-induced multiple stressors
Climate change poses a threat to tree production causing simultaneously more than one type of stress. Against this backdrop, our research mainly focuses on summer heat waves that are frequently accompanied by drought and high solar radiation. Our interests include adaptation measures that can be put into place in orchards and vineyards to cope with multiples summer stressors. Experiments are carried out under controlled conditions (at Terra X Cube Climate simulator at EURAC Research) under greenhouse or field conditions and include the detection of indexes for early stress detection.
