Current position

PhD-Student in Mountain Environment and Agriculture at the Free University of Bozen-Bolzano with the topic “The use of cover crops’ roots and shoots as a different spatiotemporally nitrogen pools for the sustainable management of nitrogen in vineyards” 

 

Academic background

  • BSc in Agricultural Sciences (Lebanese University Faculty of Agricultural Engineering and Veterinary Medicine -LU)
  • Agricultural Engineer (MEng) with specialization in plant production (LU)
  • MSc in Sustainable Agroecosystems and Resilience (in function of double degree between the Lebanese University and the Mediterranean Agronomic Institute of Bari – CIHEAM), where my thesis focused on assessing soil management practices to enhance resilience in 26 small-scale agroecosystems of Mount-Lebanon using ecological indicators in response to socioeconomic conditions.

 

Research interests

Soil resilience, soil health, soil ecology, cover crops, biogeochemical cycles, nitrogen isotopes, horticulture and arboriculture science, grapevine ecophysiology.
